Newspaper urges voting out state lawmakers

In light of the recent inability or unwillingness of the state House to give property tax reform a reasonable debate, The Mercury is telling voters in an editorial that the only option left is to vote out as many of the incumbent lawmakers as possible.

"Now, the leadership in Harrisburg is denying the opportunity for meaningful tax reform by scuttling all the plans to the back burner — again," the newspaper says. "Voters can have the last say. The state primary on April 22 offers a chance to send a message to lawmakers whose terms are up. Changing faces may be the only way to change the result."
