A flag retirement ceremony was held over the weekend by American Legion Post 602 of Spring City, Chester County. Boy Scout Troop No. 4, and Cub Scout Troop No. 157 of Spring City participated in the ceremony at the Spring City pool complex. About 500 flags that were tattered or torn were burned.
