Report: 12 PA schools 'persistently dangerous'

Despite some well-publicized incidents of violence, most Pennsylvania schools are safe places to learn, according to a new report by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Less than 4 percent of students in statewide were involved in incidents of misconduct during the 2006-07 school year, the report says.

The report also classifies 12 Pennsylvania public schools as "persistently dangerous."
